Cuba to assist Ghana’s COVID-19 fight

The support is the outcome of the African Union intervention through Mr. Kwesi Quartey, its Deputy Chairperson on behalf of Ghana.
Ghana’s COVID-19 fight will be given an important boost if this new plan comes into effect. It will also help improve Ghana’s long-standing relationship with Cuba in the area of health.

This information was relayed to Ghana by Mr. Quartey in a letter of commendation signed and dated March 30, 2020, to the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, on efforts he had put in so far against the disease.
Among other things, the letter indicated that the Presiden’s efforts at addressing the COVID-19 challenge were not only impressive but also heartwarming.
