2019 VGMA: Stonebwoy Pulls Gun On Stage and clashes with Shatta Wale – VIDEOS & PICTURES

Stonebwoy pulls a gun on stage and clashes with Shatta Wale at the 20th edition of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA). This singular at nearly turned bloody on the night. This sad event started the moment Stonebwoy was announced as the 2019 VGMA Reggae Dancehall Artiste of the Year. The act happened in the early hours of Sunday at the live event just when the fans of the two music artiste Stonebwoy and Shatta Wale who are rivals in the dance hall music genre engaged in fisticuffs over an award.

Shatta Wale who was very unhappy about the turn of events got off his seat, then his fans followed him onto the stage. The fans of stone Stonebwoy also joined and stopped Shatta and his fans from getting on stage. A few blows were exchanged, in one instance, one of the ladies at the event who was shocked by the turn of event said “Oh My God! Really? Really? Apparently shocked by what was happening.

Stonebwoy pulled a gun in the process on the stage while the security officers at the event took immediate action by spraying pepper in the auditorium to what would have turned into a full-blown on a beautiful night of music as Ghana celebrates 20 years of music awards.

Some audience who were scared for their lives dashed out of the auditorium to seek for safety as many could also not breathe as a result of the pepper spray.

This event led to a break and after the dust settled, the program continued.

Shatta has bragged as the king of Dance Hall music but with this enviable award going to his rival in the industry, and all that followed on the night, Stonebwoy and the Shatta movement rivalry just got hotter and interesting.

Stonebwoy has however apologized for his actions on stage after the incident.

Has this award the Reggae/Dancehall Artiste of the Year award at the VGMA 2019 dethroned Shatta for real? As at the time of filing this report,  Shatta Wale had already won two awards on the night. These are the Highlife sing of the year and Reggae Dancehall song of the year.
