Sudan; RSF Killed At least 100 People Over Village Attack
Sudan Crisis Deepens as Paramilitary Forces (RSF) Kill at least 100 people over Village Attack
A village in Sudan’s Gezira province has left at least 100 people dead and dozens more injured over attacked by Rapid Support Forces (RSP) , with women, children, and elderly among the victims.
The paramilitary Rapid Support Forces (RSF) launched the assault on Wad al-Noura village in the early hours of Wednesday, using heavy artillery to besiege and attack the village.
According to Mini Arko Minawi, the governor of Darfur province, the RSF’s brutal attack on Wad al-Noura village has caused widespread destruction and left many residents displaced.
“Women, children, and elderly were among the victims in the attacks by the Rapid Support Forces on Wad al-Noura village in Gezira,” said Minawi.
The grassroots Madani Resistance Committee, which has been targeted by the RSF in the past, accused the paramilitary forces of looting the village during the attacks. ”

The RSF invaded the village, displacing residents, including women and children, to other parts of the district of al-Manaqil,” said a statement from the committee.
The RSF has been fighting the Sudanese army for over a year, and its latest attack on Wad al-Noura is just one of many atrocities committed by the group.
The Sudanese transitional government has condemned the attacks and called for international action to hold the RSF accountable.
“These are criminal acts that reflect the systematic behavior of these (RSF) militias in targeting civilians, plundering their property, and forcibly displacing them from their areas,” said a statement from the media office for the Transitional Sovereignty Council.
The RSF’s attack on Wad al-Noura is just one example of the devastating impact of the war between the RSF and the Sudanese army.
The conflict has wreaked havoc across multiple cities, pushed Sudan’s population to the brink of famine, and resulted in over 14,000 deaths and thousands of injuries.
The war has also displaced hundreds of thousands of people, with many forced to flee their homes in search of safety.
The Sudanese government has struggled to maintain order and stability in the face of the ongoing conflict, which has been fueled by political and economic instability.
In a statement on its Telegram channel, the Sudanese transitional government condemned the attacks and called for international action to hold the RSF accountable.
“We condemn these criminal acts and call on the international community to hold those responsible accountable for their actions,” said a statement from the media office for the Transitional Sovereignty Council.
The RSF has responded to accusations by claiming that it attacked three camps west, north, and south of Wad-al Noura, clashing with the Sudanese army.
“Our forces will not stand idly by in the face of any movements or gatherings by the enemy and will work to pursue and defeat the enemy,” said an RSF statement.
