Majority Leader Exposed on Agyapa Mineral Royalties Figures

Majority Leader Exposed on Agyapa Mineral Royalties Figures, this is according to Dr. Solomon Owusu who is resident in the USA and provided figures to support is claims to help unravel public funds that have not been captured in Ghanaian revenue reports for the past five years by the government.
Dr. Solomon Owusu writes…
The Majority Leader, Mr. Osei Kyei Mensah-Bonsu has lied to the public that the total mineral royalties revenue received by the government from 2013-2016 was US$ 175 Million. Also, he said the government received nothing on royalties in 2016. He made these comments during his recent media engagement in Kumasi. Please check the attached video.

However, double-checking with reference to the actual amount paid to the government by the large-scale mining companies from the Ghana Chamber of Mines’ publication, Dr. Solomon Owusu in the USA has revealed that US$ 470 Million was paid instead.
All Ghanaians can check the authenticity of the Majority Leader’s figures. Please check the attached statistics and also pages 26 & 27 of the original document from Ghana Chamber of Mines.
Again, it has emerged that Mr. Ken Ofori-Atta has never recorded mining revenues in any of his annual budgets since 2017. Let’s be citizens and not spectators by being vigilant and monitor the nation wreckers.
