John Mahama rates Akuffo Addo’s COVID-19 efforts a failure
Former President John Mahama believes Akuffo Addo’s handling of COVID-19 is a failure. Mahama while speaking during the #JohnMahama spoke about how health workers are getting exposed to COVID-19, and isolation centres are full. He said this shows Akuffo Addo’s failure.
According to him, the government has been reluctant to corporate with other stakeholders. You cannot do propaganda with a pandemic as the infections and death from COVID-19 will expose such a government, Former President Mahama said.
Mahama said the government’s propaganda to use chiefs, student leadership, and the council of elders will not solve the problem.

Former President John Mahama appreciated the sincere efforts of Ghanaians who have engaged him. He added that the interaction has been very informative and worth it.
He emphasized that challenges such as poor food and other relief items distribution compel the government to lift the restrictions so quickly. Government’s failure to decentralize approach to the handling of COVID-19, using traditional rulers and assembly leaders compounded the already poor approach.
Many have accused the government of massaging COVID-19 cases in Ghana. Mass testing has been halted as a way to show a slower and lower rate of COVID-19 infection in Ghana.
Health is a human right and COVID-19 has confirmed this. He said the NDC does not talk but delivers. The NDC has delivered state-of-the-art hospitals of varied magnitude at all level. He said every region and district will get a modern health facility when Ghanaians vote him into power.
Former President Mahama said the current government has been abandoned by the government. He said the NDC will revamp these and other facilities to support Ghana and to build the best health facilities.
He said his motivation throughout COVID-19 is to provide help and offer useful suggestions. He called on the government to protect teachers, students, and all as the restrictions re being eased.
