GAF Commences 2024 enlistment into Military; here are tips to boost your chances

The Ghana Armed Forces ( GAF) has issued a press release stating its commencement of the 2024 enlistment process for both Regular Career Course and Short Service Commission Officers.

The announcement follows Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) commitment to continue to refill  its ranks with new recruits to ensure the optimal performance of its operations.

The annual enlistment exercise is a crucial process that enables the GAF to have  fresh talents and skills into its various centres, thereby ensuring sustainability in its operation to fulfill its constitutional mandate of defending the country and its interests.

In the statement, the GAF cautioned the public to be wary of anyone who present themselves as agents or middlemen for enlistment.

“The public is therefore strongly advised to desist from paying monies to any person(s) who present themselves as agents or middlemen with the promise to help potential applicants to secure slot into GAF.”

The scratch cards, which would be used for the online application are sold at  GH¢350.00 each across the country at designated Ghana Post offices.

The portal for the online application has been activated hence interested persons can log on here to apply.

The closing date for the online submission is Friday October 11, 2024.

The enlistment process for the GAF is a rigorous and competitive process that involves various stages.

Candidates who meet the outlined eligibility criteria are the ones to submit their applications, which will then be screened and shortlisted for further testing.

This includes a written examination, physical fitness test, and medical examination, among others at various branches.

To be eligible for enlistment in the GAF, candidates must be not be less 18 and not more than 26 years old by 31 match 2025.

Also, candidates must be medically  fit  and must pass the Pre Joining Fitness Test. Be of minimum height of 1.68m (5’6”) for males and 1.60m (5’4”) for females.  In all candidates  must  have a minimum educational qualification as outlined in the application portal.
