The NCA suspends Wontumi FM, Asaase Radio and 60 other stations over licensing problems.

The National Communication Authority suspends over 60 FM radio stations including Wontumi FM and Asaase radio for not complying with the broadcasting rules and regulations in the country.
In a publication made by 3News.com an online news website had it that the Wontumi FM’s Accra and Takoradi branch are among the affected list of radio stations who are to suspend their duties.
According to 3News, the directive from the NCA follows a frequent audit and an order from the Minister of Communication, Digital Technology and Innovation directing the NCA to pull out names of stations both radio and TV who do not comply with the regulations of the NCA.
According to the NCA, the enforcement action became necessary due to the persistent violations of the regulations.
