Leaked intimate video has severely embarrassed me; I’m sorry – Serwaa Amihere

Serwaa Amihere, a broadcast journalist, hasn’t spoken since a leaked intimate video of her became popular on social media, according to her, she was so embarrassed.

The film features the well-known public figure in bed with a man who is currently known as Henry Fitz.

Online rumors claimed that the video was taken in 2019, a long time before the man in question got married.

Others, however, assert that Serwaa was a guest at the man’s wedding and later had an affair with him.

This version of events has infuriated many, who have denigrated and ridiculed her due to her social standing.

Some have also questioned how a woman of her caliber could record her own private moments or videotape herself.

On Wednesday, April 24, 2024, in the evening, Serwaa apologized for the shame the act had caused her family, employers, loved ones, and the companies and brands she represents.

The statement was uploaded on her X account. “I considerably underestimated the extent of my influence, my potential, what I would become, and what I would come to represent to this society,” Serwaa said, confirming that the video was taken five years ago.

The footage was finally released, in her words, “after five months of threats and extortion, along with efforts by the police to bring the extortionists to book.”

However, Serwaa claimed that the sad incident had taught her some valuable lessons. Overall, she said, “I have learned very valuable lessons for the future.”

Although several members of the public had demanded that her employers, EIB Network, suspend her or fire her, the firm stated that it is carrying out a separate inquiry and will make its conclusions public.

It did accept, though, that the Police were looking into the situation as well and had made some arrests related to it.

Since the event, Serwaa hasn’t been seen on TV recently.
