Permit SHS Students Online iCompus Registration with Mobile Numbers – Govt Told

SHS Students Online

Students who want to enroll in the new online programme dubbed iCompus are facing many challenges registering. Chief among the challenges is the instruction that students should enter their BECE index number with the index number ending with the year the student completed as the username. Eg. 30907402517. Don’t forget to add the year you wrote the BECE to your index number

Many students have lamented that they have forgotten their index numbers, others have tried with their original numbers but have also not been able to access the platform.

The SHS Students Online iCompus is a great ide but, of what use will it be if students cannot access it? Of what use is the platform if people cannot enroll? The government must take a second look at the index number option and make it possible for students to enroll using their mobile phone numbers instead.

Although this may lead to many who are not SHS students registering, it will help the students access the platform the easy way. Registering for the platform should be made user friendly and as easy as registering for an email.

Let us save students from the stress of trying several times to register. Finally, since a lot of students will be registering, the systems in place should be able to accommodate larger numbers without the platform behaving like the school placement system. If this happens, the good intentions of the government will be defeated.

SHS Students Online can be made better.

  1. I have tried signing in several times, it’s not working. The also said we should provide our index number but where should we do that.
