5th suspect arrested in Asaman Tamfoe robbery incident

A fifth suspect in the robbery of the Asaman Tamfoe gold-buying company has been caught by the police.
Yahaya Adama, who is thought to have planned the robbery, was taken into custody at his home in Akwaboaso in the Eastern Region.
In a police report, Adama said that he got GHC11,000 from the booty. It said that on May 27, 2022, Adama and his group of seven armed robbers robbed a gold-buying company in Asaman Tamfoe.
In the process, they shot and killed two security guards and stole more than GHc 1,000,000.00.
Four of the seven thieves, including Moro Saado, who was caught in Kumasi on June 3, 2022, were caught because of ongoing intelligence work, the police said.
Ali Ousmanu, who shot the security guard, was caught on June 4, 2022, near Asesewa at Akabanten. On June 15, 2022, Elvis Kwaasi was caught at Asaman Tamfoe.
The fourth suspect, Issaka Abdul, also known as Baba Liman, was also caught on August 2, 2022, at Sofoline in Kumasi.
The police told the public that the other two gang members would be caught and put on trial.
