2021 BECE Results Released by WAEC

The West African Examinations Council(WAEC) announced the release of provisional results of the 2021 Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) in a press release on Monday February 28,2022.
An aggregate of 572,167 students comprised of 287,730 guys and 284,437 females sat for the BECE.
Absenteeism was seen at 1.28 percent which was 7315 students out of the total number.
As per WAEC, the complete number of possibility for last year rose by 7.61% when contrasted with the number for 2020, which is 531,707.
46 of the candidates have had their entire results canceled due to impersonation or using mobile phones in the exam area or hall.
138 students results for particular subjects have been met with a similar fate for using forbidden materials in exam halls or classrooms during exam sessions.
The Council has withheld the entire results of 109 students and particular results of 148 students for certain subjects on suspicion of exam malpractice.
The exam booklets of 24 schools are being investigated.
18028 schools were represented at BECE 2021 with students writing in 2158 centers.
