Three Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) Students Arrested Over Assault

Three students from Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) have been arrested for allegedly assaulting a student of Obrachire Senior High Technical School during the district’s inter-school athletics competition in the Central Region of Ghana.
During the district’s inter-school athletics competition in Agona, three students from the Swedru School of Business of which their names are Joseph Amoh,20; Benedict Appiah,18; and Bilal Mamud,18- assaulted Fiadzigbe from Obrachire Senior High Technical School, injuring eight students in total with three being seriously injured.
The Ghana Police Service arrested the suspects on February 23rd after the school authorities handed the suspects over to the police following a 24 hour ultimatum from CID Director General COP Lydia Yaako Donkor to the Swedru School of Business (SWESBUS) headmaster.
The arrested suspects will be put before court in the coming days a statement from the Ghana Police said.
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has also suspended all zonal and regional inter-school competitions pending a safety review as Fiadzigbe recovers and demands justice.
The arrest of these suspects attracted reactions from others on social media and these are some of them;
Kwame Evans said “Kudos to Ghana Police God bless you all”. Yhaw Manuel 69 also added “They covered the faces of the offenders but unveiled the face of the victim Smh” Agu also stated “They are not minors. Why are their faces obscured? You aren’t sure then”
