2021 WASSCE Best Students awarded at event
The 2021 West African Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE) held by the West African Examination Council(WAEC) saw over 2 million students partake of the exam.
An event was held in March, 2022 to honor the best and/or most outstanding students after the collation of results of the 2021 WASSCE.
The overall best student was deemed to be Nweze Isabella Chinasa, a student from the Lagoon School in Lekki, Lagos State of Nigeria.
The second best student was in the person of Kwame Brako Asante from Presec Legon in Accra, Ghana. He was a non participating member of the team in the finals of the National Maths and Science Quiz(NSMQ) in 2021.
The third best was Eleanor Godswill from e Airforce Comprehensive School in the Enugu State of Nigeria.
A number of officials and dignitaries were in attendance including the Nigeria’s Youth and Sports Minister and others from the Ghana Education Service.
