GES Impounded Vehicles Due To Judgement Debt have been Recovered.

A ruling was made at the Koforifua High Court in favor of a number of employees against Ghana Education Service(GES) over Judgment Debt.
This particular case was presided over by Mrs Justice Gifty Dekyem on December 18, 2020.
Ghana Education Service made it clear in a statement that the issue of the Judgment Debt was about salaries which the aggrieved parties claim had not been paid to them even after an agreement was supposedly reached.
This was as a result of recruitment done without Financial clearance from the Ministry of Finance.
This was to be rectified following a formal request made to the effect in 2017 and clearance given by the Ministry of Finance with prospective effect starting the same year.
Apparently, per the statement by GES, an agreement in principle was reached with the affected individuals.
The three vehicles that were seized after the ruling made by the Koforifua High Court have been retrieved per the statement released by the Ghana Education Service.
