Weinstein charged with sexual assault in Los Angeles

Reports about his sexual abuse and subsequent allegations leveled against him fueled the #MeToo movement which became a trending hashtag on twitter.

Today, he was charged by a court in Los Angeles in connection with sexual assault allegations leveled against him.
He was in court to respond to charges brought against him by two women, per the information from the Los Angeles District Attorney.
Weinstein charged with sexual assault for many is not surprising as he has been battling with life in general for the past two years. “The past two years have been grueling and have presented me with a great opportunity for self-reflection,” Weinstein wrote. “I realize now that I was consumed with my work, my company and my drive for success.
Over 80 women accused the former film mogul of sexual abuse after his sexual misconduct become public in 2017.
The charges leveled against him included predatory sexual assault, a criminal sexual act, first-degree rape, and third-degree rape.
However, defense attorney Donna Rotunno while speaking to the CNN spoke to CNN last Friday indicated that Weinstein has not claimed to be a saint, however, he is not a rapist. She insisted that Weinstein would be “the first one to say he did bad things,” but he’s not a criminal.
However, Weinstein charged with sexual assault will have to face his fate having admitted that he had made some bad choices in the past which has brought him down.
