One big question worth asking our selves is, do such students deserve governments Free SHS? Such comments and videos are a clear indication of lost focus and the lack of realization of why they are in school.
Mobile phones have been banned or controlled in many schools to ensure their abuse is minimized but this seems to be in students’ code of conduct and bonds signed.
School authorities are losing the fight on indiscipline on all fronts and Ghana is “wasting” hard-earned taxpayers money on some section of Free SHS students.
The leader of the students from Ejisuman SHS indicated that, even if she is an “ASHAWO” thus a prostitute, there is someone in your home that engages in the same business. This same analogy was made with an armed robber by the students.
According to her, boys with little cash and as low as ten pesewas are broke and that they want those who are rich. The leader of the girls numbering 6 in the video argued that men were foolish. Other statements she made indicated that men who had money talk but those who are poor make noise like coins.

The big question is that, are we studying the trend of such videos emanating from our Senior High Schools and can we predict the implication of such actions on morality, respect for oneself and the negative implications of the future? This video will remain on the internet forever leaving a bad digital print for such students.
In the past, when discipline was at its peak in SHS, it will be difficult and almost impossible for students to video in classrooms as such videos were an embarrassment to the whole community and the family and schools which these students came from.

Now that students are putting up deviant attitudes, we could be seating on a time bomb.
We call on the headmistress or master of Ejisuman SHS, the PTA and all relevant bodies of leadership to act swiftly before this bad attitude becomes a routine in the school.
Let’s encourage school leadership, empower them to bring back the discipline. Our children are misbehaving too much.
