VIDEO: : How the Aveyime Police Rifles Were Retrieved from their ‘Grave’
Media and Police reports indicate that when purported Western Togoland secessionist group members invaded the Aveyime and Mepe Police stations in the North Tongu District in the Volta Region, they did not only release inmates and locked up the police personnel. It was said that they also took away police rifles.
Since then, the police had been on the hunt, not only for the evil doers but also for their stolen rifles.
In a video going viral on social media, one of the arrested suspects digs up the rifles. It could be gathered from the video that the arrested young man buried the guns in a bush. He led the police to the site and got it dug out.
