Paul Adom Otchere ‘CUT’ into pieces in an open letter – Do you have an iota of integrity?

I cringed at the early hours of this morning after watching your editorial rant on Dr. Rawlings on your show, Good evening Ghana. Thank God I finished my fajr Prayers and my daily dosage of reading some verses from the Noble Qur’an. I honestly could not believe what I was watching, but certainly not surprised. You have reduced such a sort after program once upon a time to propagandist show.
I decided to watch your program on Facebook because I woke up this morning with your name awash on social media. My good friend and sister, Nha Nah Eyesha, Queen of Kokonsa, was even asking why you were trending and I must admit, that is what made me even go watch because if Eyesha is not abreast with what is going on then, damn, something ain’t right.
I must say Paul, you did not disappoint me after the first 5mins into your program. As usual, you went into a rant. As usual, you were full of yourself just like when your appearance at the Short Commission was truncated which made you go on a full rant on national TV just to make a mockery of yourself.
Paul, before you accuse Dr. Zenator Rawlings of suffering from integrity issues, I will advise you to take a look at yourself in the mirror. I have lost count, the number of times panelists have appeared on your show and referred to you as a lawyer. When Chairman Wontumi referred to you as a lawyer on your show, did you forget there was something called integrity? At least, we now know that you failed some of your papers from law school. You were never called to the Bar, yet you want us to believe that you know the law. On what basis were you denigrating the young politician?
Again, what did you mean when you said you do not expect a person like her, from an affluent background to make such a statement? Are you by that inferring that we, sons and daughters of farmers or those of us who were raised in Nima are excused to say certain things? You are such an arrogant pampered disappointed law student who if not for the privileged background you had, will never be where you are today.
Paul, it seems you are not following recent happening in the country with regards to Covid19 and the feeding exercise currently ongoing. Must everyone who speaks against or criticize this government be labeled anti-Christ? Are you not aware that this pandemic has created a major humanitarian crisis that requires everyone to help? Are you not in this country when a minister said she can not trust Assemblymen and women to do the distribution of food? Have you not heard CSOs such as Centre For Women in Politics condemn these unfortunate happenings in areas where food were shared based on membership of the NPP? Have you not seen several videos on social media were people on live video talking about such horrors?
You goofed bigality as Bukom Banku will say. Ghana deserves better than this and I expect you to come out and apologize to the young lady. Maybe, if you had exerted the same energy into your books at law school, you would have been a lawyer by now. Cut us the chase and get real.
Yours truly,
ABDUL Basit Swalah
