NTC Opens Registration for All In-Service Teachers
The leadership of the National Teaching Council (NTC) has opened registration for all In-service teachers employed. The registration is opened for both teachers in the public or private sectors of education.
The NTC has indicated that the aim of the registration exercise is to introduce all teachers in active service to how the NTC Teacher Portal Ghana (TPG) works.

NTC has also indicated that its portal will serve as the online hub for all continuous professional development activities and licensing. The registration will provide NTC an updated database of all teachers in the country.
Following the Presidents directive, every teacher in the country is advised to use this lockdown period to familiarize himself or herself with the NTC TPG web portal.
Please follow the instructions below to get started.
Requirements to register online for public teachers (teachers employed by GES):
- An active email address (create one if you do not have).
- SSNIT number
- Staff ID
- Scanned passport picture for upload (optional).
- Scanned evidence of professional training –Teacher Cert A, Diploma, PGDE, B.Ed, M.Ed, MPhil, Ph.D. (as PDF, PNG or JPEG).
- Scanned first appointment letter (as PDF, PNG or JPEG).
Requirements to register for private teachers (In-Service Teachers)
- An active email address (create one if you do not have).
- SSNIT number.
- Scanned passport picture for upload (optional).
- Scanned evidence of professional training –Teacher Cert A, Diploma, PGDE, B.Ed, M.Ed, MPhil, Ph.D. (as PDF, PNG or JPEG).
- Scanned first appointment letter (as PDF, PNG or JPEG).
Steps for online registration of (In-Service Teachers)
- Go to https://tpg.ntc.gov.gh/ via a web browser on a PC.
- Click “Register Now” to create an account or log in to an existing account.
- Select “Teacher” as the account type.
- Fill in details and submit them.
- Open your email account in another browser tab.
- Check your email for a confirmation link from NTC TPG.
- Follow the instructions on the site to complete your registration.
