Ghana’s Coronavirus cases rise to 27, two deaths. Three more confirmed cases of the global pandemic, coronavirus, have been recorded, Ghana Health Service has said.
Ghana’s Covid-19 cases rise to 27 however the number of active cases, is 25.
As of 23rd March 2020, [14:00 GMT] a total of 521 suspected cases have been tested for COVID-19 by Noguchi Memorial Institute for Medical Research (NMIMR) and Kumasi Centre for Collaborative Research (KCCR).
All the twenty-five confirmed cases are receiving treatment in isolation.

Among the confirmed cases, twenty are of Ghanaian nationality, the majority of whom returned home from affected countries. Seven are of other nationals namely: Norway, Lebanon, China, France, UK.

In respect of contact tracing, a total of 598 contacts have been identified and are being tracked.
One of the contacts developed symptoms and has been confirmed positive.

Nineteen people have completed the 14 days of mandatory follow up in Ghana’s Coronavirus cases reports and management.
Who should be self -quarantined?
Travelers coming from countries/territories/areas with active transmission of COVID-19
as analyzed and designated by the Ministry of Health/ Ghana Health Service (refer to the
list of countries) shall be in self-quarantine for 14 days.
Any individual who has been in close contact with a person confirmed to be having
coronavirus disease should be self-quarantined for 14 days since the last contact with the
confirmed case.
